Ritelite’s Medi Cobra conduit duct rodding systems provide a robust, compact, labour saving solution when installing cables in ducts, threading draw ropes through pipes or surveying drains with CCTV cameras. The ‘Quick Trace’ model includes copper wires embedded in the rod which allows the rod to be fully traceable once a signal generator is connected for additional functionality. This provides 2 solutions in one product -  as a standard fibreglass rodding system for cable / draw rope installation and as a traceable rodding system to identify duct/pipe runs or locate blockages.

Key advantages:

  • Lower investment cost as the Trace Rod replaces two items of equipment
  • Less equipment to carry on your vehicle and to site - saving space, weight and time.

To use as a trace rod push the rod along the duct as required or until a blockage or obstruction is met. Connect the positive side to the signal generator onto the rod terminal (at the point where it attaches to the reel). Connect the negative side to an earth stake (or other independent earth). The Trace Rod can then be traced along it’s complete length with a Cable Avoidance tool (CAT Receiver).

Suitable for use with most C.A.T and signal generator systems.

Our high quality, fibreglass rod has a radially reinforced construction, is PP coated and spooled onto robust zinc plated steel frames fitted with an in-built parking brake. Total overall dimensions W 800mm x H 915mm x D 295mm.
